About Boating Safely course offered by Coast Guard Auxiliary—Bainbridge Island
This is a one-day, eight-hour introductory course for new boaters or boaters wishing to refresh their boating knowledge. Successful completion of this course meets the boater education requirement needed to apply for your Washington State Boater Education card.

Topics include: boat types/characteristics, safety equipment, trailering your boat, boat engines, rules of the road, navigation, anchoring & docking, knots, risk management
and more.

This course is sanctioned by the Us Coast Guard as well as the State of Washington.
Instructors are active members of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Time: 8 am to 5 pm
One hour for lunch and 30-minute test
Course is suitable for age 12 and over

Location: Bainbridge Island Commons
402 Brien Drive
Bainbridge Island

Cost: $35 or $50 for couples

Dates Offered: April 10, 2010
