Hi Everyone, I have an ole OB 45 HP Chrysler that my father bought right off the showroom floor in 1966. He took extreme good care of it. Now I own it but as far as I know the magneto and condensers are original equipment. The motor has approx. 200 hours total on it. (Spent most of its time running up and down the hiwy.) Is it worth the hassel of removing the flywheel to clean up and possibly change out the condensers? What are the symtons of a poor magneto or condenser?

Hello roadrunner, if it's not broken don't fix it! That is my best advice. If you have a problem post it! Don't invite problems.

I'd start looking for a spare set for down the road since sooner or later you'll probably need one and now you have lot's of time. Good luck.

If you really want to find a spare set give Mike W a call at Go2marine 1 800 998 9508. He must have a secret stash of old parts.
