I have a 50 HP Force about a 1988. The engine runs good in a barrel, I can put it in gear and it keeps running. When I put it in at the ramp and go to put in gear it dies. Any suggestions.

Thanks,
Ron

Try turning up the idle just a little - perhaps 50 or 100 RPM. Is it dying when you shift or when you throttle it up while in gear?

Seems like when I put in gear at the ramp it dies. In a tanke it is ok.
