I just had a rocker arm guide pin replaced on my Volvo KMAD44-P and now I'm seeing some white smoke in the exhaust - even after it warms up. The engine does not overheat. What could be the cause? _________________ I have a KAMD44-P (1998) it just started to blow some white smoke on the port engine. The diaignositc code is 6-2. My mechanic thinks it's a semi clogged injector. Any thoughts?
Thanks

I think that your mechanic may be on the right track.
White smoke is often water - but it can also be an indicator of unburned fuel.
When you smell the exhaust, does it smell like you are running rich (or like the choke is closed on an old engine)?
Water being put through the exhaust in a closed system will eventually show up in the coolant level.
I always start with "what has been most recently touched" and "What might be bumped, affected by, responded to" whatever was recently touched. _________________ Boat Scotty
