Anyone willing to share their cruising plans for the coming spring-summer-fall? This winter in B.C. has made it easy to stare out of the window and think about where you would like to be in your boat in the nicer weather to come. Crying or Very sad
We are on the Sunshine Coast and hope to get in a few local overnighters, and maybe a week-long trip to the Gulf Islands, and to Desolation Sound before heading north in mid-May for our annual summer cruise.

Your cruising in the right area. We go to the Gulf Islands all the time. We like to visit Ganges on Salt Spring Island and catch their weekend art fair. It's a blast, lots of booths and displays and some really good art and things. Further North is Telegraph Harbor and a couple of Marinas on Thetis Island. You can even catch a ferry to Chenainus on Vancouver if your into a little more tourist stuff. We did it and had a good time. We also liked Ladysmith but it is sort of out of the way. Even further North on Gabriola Island is Silva Bay. Cool little resort with a store, resturant and bar and a even a pool which is usually open. Seattle Yacht Club has an out station across the harbor. Thrasher Rock Light is nearby with good fishing. Caught lots of Ling Cod there as well but remember your license and limits. Have fun!
