What grade fuel should I be running in my 1995 Johnson 112HP two stroke. I usually run mid grade 89 octane fuel. I was told by a friend who has a later model 115HP that is the correct type. I also throw some about a half pint of Seafoam and some Stabile for the ethyinol in the Gas. Motor seems to run wonderfully on this mixture but I figured I would ask the experts. Thanks for the help guys.

There are plenty of opinions out there - I always ran high octane BUT...

http://www.copemarine.com/content.asp?nav=94671&cpid=4449&
recommends "the use of 87 octane regular unleaded fuel in your boat regardless of the power option".

I do like Seafoam - it has really helped with some engines that were touch and go in being gummed up.

A better fuel additive (and the only one like it on the market) is PRI

Hope that helps!
