My reverse is no longer working. I have what looks like a power steering pump on the side of the engine with hydrualic hoses hooked up to it. The pump is leaking fluid. I have checked the cable. everything is in working order. I am trying to find a replacement pump. Does anyone know where I can get one?

Power sterring pump won't have anything to do with the transmission shifting. What make trasnsmission do you have? Cool

Mike,

Thanks for the info. I have a dana outdrive. I talked to Marrysville marine today and they said it is a D100 Dana power pump. It looks like a power steerimg pump on a car but has been manufactured at a lower psi to run the shifting piston on the dana outdrives. It is a 1973 chrysler 318 I/O. I would like to purchase one but I can't find it. Marrysville marine said that they can rebuild it for me. Any suggestions.

The cable works properly and engages the valve that is supposed to send the fluid to the piston that engages the reverse. At least that is what I think is supposed to happen.
