What should be the RPM at idel on a OMC 260 motor? i have the manefold type choke it does not sem to idel up when starting. should it? carb is rebuilt, other than that it runs great.

Hello, marine engines don't have a fast idle like antomotive engines. Rpm's are controled with the throttle lever. I would set the idle between 600 to 650 rpm's. Cool
