Took my boat out for the 2nd tine this past weekend and after about 2 hours of no problems, the throttle seemed to stick. It wouldnt go faster than 8-10 mph and I tried backing it off and trying again still wouldnt work. Then I turned and it would kick in and go. The engine wasnt revving high like it was a drive issue. It happened about 4 times. I have a 1999 18ft aquatron I/O mercruiser 3.0L 4cyl. Any ideas or advice to fix it?

Does the throttle seem hard? Is the carburetor linkage moving to full throttle when this happens? Cool
