I am in need of assistance. I have a 1990 SeaRay and it has mercruiser bravo 1 out drive the 7.4L engine. I blew the motor and swaped it with a 1998 7.4L fuel injected with serpintine belt. I got the motor in and it purrrrs like a kitten. bad thing is the steering jurks vilently to one side. I have taken the valve body (actuator) apart it looked fine. I had two local mechanics say I needed a new one so I bought one and same result. Has anyone had this happen before? is there a difference from 90 to 98? I have tested the pressure and it is in line with where it should be according to the pump specs. Any help or Ideas would be great. Thanks
