I have an OMC stringer Drive and I can't keep water out of my bilge. Any suggestions?

Early OMC outdrives with electric shift notoriously leak at the seals on the intermediate drive.. Drives you nuts!

There are many fixes out there, but I have to find one that works every time...

Hello on the rocks, first I would inspect all water hoses. If there are no signs of leakage, carefully inspect the Transom Boot. There may be a small tear in the rubber. This is the most common place for leaks.

Cane across this post and I have had similar problems. For what it's worth to anyone else seeing this, I have now made a habit of always checking the boot each time I launch the boat. Cures my paranoia.
